El Centro del Inmigrante: Formed in 1997, El Centro’s mission is to provide for the economic advancement and well being of immigrant workers and their families until all immigrants achieve full civic participation in the United States.
Ghanaian Association, Staten Island: The Association was formed on July 7, 1993 in response to the increase in size of the Ghanaian community in Staten Island. The organization will serve to promote unity and love within the Ghanaian community and to preserve the culture of the Ghanaian people in Staten Island. In particular, the Association will address issues of the Ghanaian immigrant community in Staten Island, and work in collaboration with other immigrant communities on the Island.
Make the Road New York: Make the Road New York promotes economic justice, equity and opportunity for all New Yorkers through community and electoral organizing, strategic policy advocacy, leadership development, youth and adult education, and high quality legal and support services.
